Sustainability at Maminka
At Maminka, our mission goes beyond creating imaginative and joyful designs for children and families. We are deeply committed to making considered choices - ensuring that the planet our children inherit is cared for and nurtured.
Caring for both people and planet has been central to how we work from the very beginning. By choosing materials thoughtfully and being honest about what we use, we aim to make meaningful choices for families while reducing our impact on the world we live in.
Materials
We carefully choose every material based on what we can verify and stand behind:
Wallpaper
Our wallpapers are printed using HP Latex inks, which are Greenguard Gold certified for indoor air quality. They are water-based, odourless, and solvent-free — free from hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and PVC.
Our wallpapers are printed on FSC®-certified, non-woven substrates, sourced from responsibly managed forests that protect biodiversity. Completely PVC-free and breathable by design, they support healthier indoor air quality and help reduce the risk of mould and mildew.
Wall Stickers
Our wall stickers are made using PVC-free polyester fabric, offering a considered alternative to conventional vinyl decals. They are:
- Free from PVC, phthalates, and formaldehyde
- Printed with non-toxic, water-based pigment inks
- Removable and reusable — designed to last and be repositioned, not thrown away
Art Prints Our art prints are produced on 100% alpha-cellulose matte paper — a plant-derived, plastic-free material — and printed with non-toxic, water-based pigment inks for rich, lasting colour.
Made in the UK
All of our products are proudly designed and manufactured in the UK.
- This localised production reduces the environmental impact of long-distance shipping.

Made-to-Order Model
Our wallpapers and wall stickers are made-to-order, meaning they are only produced when a customer places an order.
- This approach eliminates the need for excessive stock, reduces paper waste, and allows us to work from from a smaller, more efficient production space.
- This not only minimises waste but also ensures we conserve resources, further reducing our overall environmental impact.

We work exclusively with a small group of carefully selected suppliers.

Waste Reduction
